| Their cheers, those smiles, weren't because you were the star, or the very best - - - they were because you were happy, healthy, having fun just being able to participate. They were sharing in your joy and excitement, and for them, you were the star no matter what.
Now, open your eyes. And read on. The Cape Cod Challenger Club was created to provide that same chance for children and young adults (up to age 22) notwithstanding their physical and/or developmental disabilities. To help them enjoy those same special moments. To participate year round in team sports and other group recreational activities.
Our program's emphasis is on active participation, not on competition. The goal is to provide all participants with the opportunity to create those same special memories we carry with us from our youth, to give our Kids a chance where no other one exists.
There is no registration or membership fee, no special requirements, no auditions or tryouts. All of the Cape Cod Challenger Club's programs are free to any eligible participant. The Challenger Club is run entirely by volunteers, and funded solely through charitable contributions. One hundred percent of the money the Cape Cod Challenger Club collects goes toward the operation of our programs. We hope you'll help.
Those memories are special, and priceless for us. As you open your eyes now, focus them on the faces of our Kids in the midst of a soccer game, or a day at the bowling alley, or on a tour of Fenway Park with David Oritz and Jason Varitek. And then, open your hearts to them, and your wallets to us, and help create some precious memories for our Kids, too.
