In addition to the many year-round free activities and programs that the Cape Cod Challenger Club offers, for a small fee club members are also eligible to participate in Vacation Recreation Programs offered during typical school vacations in December, February, April, and during the Summer.
Eligibility & Ages Served: The Challenger Club summer recreation program is available to children and young adults ages 6 and over with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Typical siblings are also welcome to participate. Participants will be assessed individually and placed into appropriate groups with the proper amount of supervision. For the safety and well being of everyone involved, both participants and staff, some individuals may not be appropriate for the program. If a prospective participant is not familiar to the Cape Cod Challenger Club, it is important for us to meet with them prior to registering for the program. We do our best to accommodate everyone, but if you have any questions please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
VACATION RECREATION PROGRAMS
Schedule: February, April & Winter School vacations & Summer Vacation Programs
Unless directed otherwise, participants should always bring a lunch for full day vacation programs. We will provide drinks and light and healthy snacks for everyone each morning and afternoon. We also recommend that everyone pack an extra set of clean clothing.
Transportation: At this time, families are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program. The Challenger Club is currently looking into the possibility of providing transportation to the program from a few select pick-up locations for an additional cost if there is enough interest. When you register please indicate if you are interested in transportation to the program. Pick-up at the end of the day is still your responsibility.
Registration and Program Costs: Registration for the program is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Preference is given to current participants in Cape Cod Challenger Club activities. We limit the number of participants to ensure that we maintain appropriate and safe supervision ratios. All activity expenses, entrance fees, transportation and supervision are included in the cost. The program costs are broken down on a daily, weekly and discounted-full-program basis. For the purposes of scheduling staff we discourage registrations on a daily basis, but if it is necessary, a daily rate charge will be assessed. We cannot accept day of service drop-offs. If it is determined that your child needs 1:1 supervision, an additional cost may be required. Family discounts will apply for multiple participants. Financial assistance may be available on a limited basis and administered at the sole discretion of the Challenger Club.
If you have a question, please contact us to discuss your particular situation or concern. You can contact us by telephone at (508)420-6950 ext 36, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We encourage families that are interested in the program to speak with us to see if it is a good fit for their child.
